Her musical heroes Leon Pendarvis, Sid McGinnis and singers David Lasley & Arnold McCuller (James Taylor and Bonnie Raitt) collaborated on her debut solo album.

Her more recent CD, Before and After, features renowned guitarists, Steve Khan and Julio Fernandez, the late great drummer Richard Crooks and NYC’s own Uptown Horns.   Fonda has performed with such distinguished artists as Angela Bofill, Peabo Bryson and Bobby Brooks Hamilton (son of Jackie Wilson). The Baby Project not only had me humming the tunes as I left the theater, but I found myself thinking about the show days later.  The show is beautifully written, with a small ensemble of women playing a wide variety of characters that weave together in delightful ways. And the music knocked me out.  I couldn’t ask for more in an evening of theater.
